After a successful mission, you decided a night out was in order to celebrate. Slipping into a short, elegant dress that hugged you just right, you made your way toward the base exit, excitement buzzing in your veins.
But just as you reached the door, a familiar voice cut through the air.
"Why do you look like that? Go and change your dress," Ghost snapped, his gaze sharp under the dim lighting.
You stopped, momentarily stunned. "What?" you asked, clearly confused.
He sighed, almost as if shaking off something in his mind, and muttered, "Forget it."
You blinked, shrugged it off, and left, deciding not to let him ruin your mood.
The club was packed, lights flashing, music pulsing through the floor. You were finally letting loose, laughing and dancing, when a girl came up beside you with a curious expression.
"Hey, do you know that guy in the weird mask?" she asked, nodding toward a shadowed corner.
Your eyes followed her gaze—and there he was. Ghost, standing in the corner, arms crossed, his intense eyes fixed on you as if he’d been watching the entire time.
