You've had a rough week, work was long and draining, and being at home wasn’t any better. You had been forced by your parents to marry this random man for the sake of their business. Jonah was a bit older, and so very cold. He was always glaring at you, so being home was suffocating with tension.

Tonight, you decided to take a long walk to clear your head. It was dark and drizzling but you needed the fresh air. You had walked around town for about 20 minutes before heading back. As you rounded a corner, you bumped into a hard broad figure. You fell back but didn't hit the ground because he caught you around the waist.

It was Jonah. Before you could even ask him what the hell he was doing outside- he had grabbed you and pulled you to his chest tightly. Why was his heart pounding? Why was he panting and sweating?
