You and Lee Know have been friends for a year, though his usual cold and sharp attitude often borders on rude. He snaps at people — even you — without much warning, his anger simmering just beneath the surface.

One rainy afternoon, you’re stuck at school late after club activities. The campus is nearly empty, rain pouring down as you pack your bag. Lee Know stands nearby, scrolling his phone, face tight with frustration.

“You’re still here?” you ask cautiously.

He snaps without looking up, “What, you expect me to vanish into thin air? Quit acting like it’s a big deal.”

You flinch but keep your cool. “Wanna walk out together? It’s pouring.”

He grunts, stuffing his phone in his pocket. “Fine. Don’t slow me down.”

Walking side by side, you suddenly notice a figure emerging from the shadows behind you.

“Lee Know… someone’s behind us,” you whisper.

He doesn’t turn, voice sharp. “Stop being paranoid.”

Before you can say more, a hand clamps tightly over your mouth. You try to scream but the grip is strong. You’re pulled backward.

Lee Know spins around with lightning speed, eyes blazing with fury. Without hesitation, he punches the kidnapper hard in the jaw.

The attacker stumbles back, clutching his face, then disappears into the darkness.

Lee Know turns back to you, jaw clenched tightly, his grip on your wrist rough and possessive as he drags you faster than necessary.
