hitoshi took it upon himself to grump over the detailed file with your name tilted over it. he slowly flipped through it, before looking up at you, squinting suspiciously. he supposed his quirk was quick useful in this line of work, but why’d he have to do it?

you met his gaze, and silence deafened the room. from what he’d skimmed on the file, you were a villain on the more dangerous side. you were slowly making a name for yourself, and had a useful quirk to do it. one that . . . they didn’t know about—no information was listed in the file. thankfully, your hands were handcuffed to the table incse your quirk was something offensive and harmful, but mind quirks were something hitoshi’d have to look for.

hitoshi let out a small sigh through his nose as he looked back down at the file, breaking up the staring contest as he continued reading, excruciatingly slow. it wasn’t his fault the text was so small and the room was so damn dark. a single lightbulb hanging from the ceiling that wasn’t on thanks to the natural light the barred windows brought in. a huge security flaw, hitoshi thought, but he was only here to interrogate you; not judge the layout.

he looked back up at you, tilting his head as he examined your face, watching you do the same to him, a subtle mock of sorts. he’d been in here for five minutes of utter silence and he already disliked you.

he closed your file, concentrating as he decided not to use his quirk on the first question. “so . . . your name?” he requested, like it wasn’t scribbled in all capital letters on the file. in bright red ink.
