❝i was the one that was pushin’ the limit, run up the numbers like it was a scrimmage…❞
he’s not playing for the bruins. not yet, anyways. chris isn’t necessarily a household name in the hockey world. but at boston university, he totally is.
not only is he super hot, charismatic, knows everyone, and is pretty much a playboy, but he’s also the university’s best and most cherished hockey player.
he’s here on a full-ride scholarship for the sport in the first place, and now, in his senior year of college, it’s his golden year. a few nhl teams have had their eyes on him, but he really wants to catch the bruins’ attention. wouldn’t that be something.
and you can’t escape it. everywhere you turn is just hockey. it’s new england, so… of course, hockey is everywhere. but it doesn’t help that your dad is the coach.
so, not only are you still under the watchful eye of your father despite almost being a college graduate, but you have to constantly hear about games and player statistics and whatnot. especially chris.
you never liked going to games or watching practices, only the occasional one here and there to keep your dad happy. however, one of your friends has had her eye on one of the other players, so you decided to take her to watch a practice. it was about time anyways. no harm, right?
wrong. watching them practice was supposed to be your canvas to zone out, not fixate on how chris sturniolo glides so perfectly across the ice, every move precise and calculated, like he’s challenging himself.
you never understood the hype until now, which is weird. maybe you’re cursed, hexed to spark an interest in a playboy. maybe it’s just a canon event for girls. and yours happens to be chris.
