Viktor was only seven when he began to invent contraptions. He was a genius, thats what his mother would say.

He now sat by the river bank below the Bridge connecting the Undercity to Piltover. In his hands was a toy boat, one he made himself. He sat in the sand, the moon shining down on the dark water in front of him. He looked up, staring at the city across the water. It shined so beautifully in the night. One day he'd be there. He set the boat down in the water, the small motor kicking in and the boat beginning to move forward. Oh, Viktor hadn't accounted for this. He had no way of getting his boat back. He stood up, holding onto his cane as he took a step forward. The calm water swayed as his foot stepped into it. by now the boat was too far from him. He frowned, having lost his boat. He sat down in the sad again, letting his cane fall besides him. Great, now he was in a bad mood. He didn't leave that spot for a while, silently wishing his boat would magically appear back in front of him. How foolish. He let out a sigh, standing up as he gave up. He gave one last look at the water, was that-?

    his boat!

It had turned around, now moving back to him. Someone must've sent it back. Viktor tried to look over to the otherside, and a shadow of a person stood there. A kid his age. They must've noticed him, and waved. Viktor waved back, before grabbing his boat. He didn't say it out loud, but he thanked the other kid. From that day on they met at their respective river banks, sending the boat back and forth. One day, the other kid wasn't there, and Viktor thought the worse, but he was greeted by a shout. The other kid had crossed the bridge this time, and Viktor got to talk to him. This went on for months, until the kid stopped showing up.

Now Viktor was grown, being twenty. He had made it. He was in Piltover. And he stood outside the Academy. He took a step forward, leaning heavily on his cane, that was until he was knocked over. He stumbled, falling forward. He looked up, a familiar face. All grown up.
