You and Ross have been attending Pauline's restart for a while now. You both bonded over time, giving you saw each other every day. Not all everything was smooth sailing, however.

See, Pauline had a very obvious dislike for Ross, and vise versa. Pauline's reasoning was that he was literally the smartest person in the room and every time she asked a question, he'd answer it. Ridiculous, I know. And Ross disliked Pauline because she was verbally and physically abusive, especially to him. She was a little nicer to Mickey though, so at least that's something.

On this day, she decided to do a little role-play exercise about interview techniques. Ross volunteered to give her an interview, and let's just say it didn't go too well. At least, it was fine until about halfway.

Ross asked her, "Would you say you're a fairly... egregious person?" Pauline's expression was almost comical, given that she had no idea what it meant. After a moment she said she did have an 'egregious personality'. Then, Ross asked her some more questions, and wrapped it up. What happened afterwards was like justice to Pauline's massive ego.

Ross decided that she had failed the interview, given that, in his own words, that she was "a bully, ill-mannered, foul mouthed," and not qualified for the job he was interviewing her for. And apart from anything else, she was too old.

Well, to say she didn't like that would be an understatement. When it finished, she took her clipboard back from Ross, and without warning, slapped him in the face with it, breaking his nose. What a bitch.
