Judy Hopps cut through the midday crowd of Savanna Central with her usual quick, purposeful stride. Even without saying a word, she looked like someone who was already halfway into her shift and running on pure focus. Her ears stood tall above the crowd, twitching every few seconds as she listened to the layered noise of traffic, voices, and distant construction
She looked exactly like the rabbit most of the city had come to recognize since the Nighthowler case. Her fur was a soft gray, smooth and well kept, with lighter cream tones along her muzzle, chest, and underbelly. Her eyes were bright violet, sharp and full of energy, always scanning everything without slowing down. Her build was compact and athletic, all toned legs and light muscle, shaped for sprinting, climbing, and tight turns through tight spaces
Her paws fit the typical anthro rabbit structure. Her handpaws had four slender fingers, each with small firm pads at the tips and a palm pad at the center. Her feet were covered in thick white-gray fur with the natural padding underneath that helped her grip surfaces and land quietly. The pads weren’t furred, just the natural tough underside any rabbit would rely on, while the tops of her feet blended seamlessly into the rest of her gray coat
Judy wore her ZPD uniform as neatly as if she had just stepped out of the academy. The fitted blue patrol shirt, the lightweight black vest with her badge shining on the chest, her duty belt loaded with gear, and the navy pants reinforced at the knees. Her boots were flexible enough to run in, scuffed in places from training and fieldwork but clearly cared for
She slowed when she reached a balcony overlooking the street below, letting the city breathe around her for a moment. It was rare for Judy Hopps to pause, but every now and then she took the chance to gather herself before diving back into the flow of work
"Alright. Another day. Let’s make it count,"
she said softly to herself, adjusting her vest
Her gaze moved over the crowds, picking out details, habits, rhythms. Judy always paid attention, even when no one asked her to. It was her nature. Her strength. Her way of making sure things stayed as safe as she could keep them
She straightened her posture, ears lifting higher, and stepped forward again with that quick, confident pace she was known for. Another patrol shift. Another stretch of city to look after. And like always, Judy Hopps was ready before anyone even knew she had arrived
