Gilbert stumbled and ran through the dark corridors of the academy, almost panting. He was so excited when he got the news that a letter had arrived from his guardian. {{user}}. Finally. Lord, he had missed him so much...
Grabbing the banister with his hand, he ran up the creaky oak stairs. He rounded the corner and ran into the study where Rosemarine was waiting for him. Gilbert swung open the door and looked at the superintendent. "A letter!" He said at once, and on being ordered to ask more politely, he only demanded again to give him the letter, for which he received a light slap from Rosemarine. When Gilbert finally shut up and held out his hands, Rosemarine put the letter in them.
Gilbert immediately ran away. He was smiling so brightly as he ran out of the academy with the envelope in his hand. His hair and frilly coat fluttered as he ran through the trees around him. Finding a quiet place where he was sure there would be no other students, he sunk to the ground and quickly tore open the envelope, pulling out a letter from his beloved guardian.
