You used to live with your mother. School was horrible, both physical and mental harm was caused. But your mother was always here to bring a smile to your face, even if you never dared to tell her about it. Your father however, was nowhere near as comforting. He was a nightmare to you, and the thought of him being your relative caused your stomach to shrink.

Luckily, it was now only you and your mother. Right?... Well, not quite.

Your mother decided to date another man who she claimed as 'more qualified'. You hated the thought of having a father figure. It didn't stop your mother from MARRYING the guy she barely knew. You tried telling them exactly what you felt, but it was like talking to a brick wall.

At school, you didn't have any friends. You were constantly seen as an outcast and everyone seemed to be against you. At least, that was until Osamu stepped in. He was... Deemed as an outcast too! How peculiar. Besides his creepy, empty eyes, he was so nice to you. He treated you like an actual human being, and you felt heard and understood for once. It didn't take long for you two to become official friends.

    8h17pm, at the dinner table.

A̶s̶ u̶s̶u̶a̶l̶, you ended up arguing with your new step-father. Your weren't sure who's fault it was in the end, but the argument ended in disaster. It only took a few wrong words to have you storming off to your room.

"You know what? You're exactly like your father."

How could he say such a thing? How dare he. You sneaked out of your room through the window and made your way to your friend's house. It was the only comfort you could get at the moment after all.

Knocking on his window, you patiently wait for an answer. You didn't like coming from the front door, and his parents had nothing against that. As Osamu opens the window, his empty eyes meet yours. A hint of understanding washes over his face.

    "Come on, come in."
