The Government (yes, Government with a capital G) had put you in charge of a young kid- Crescendo, she/they, chaotic as hell but very sweet. Not one of the weirdest names you had heard, surprisingly.

When it came to running through rounds with the killers, it was a bit of a different story. You always asked them if they wanted to come on a round with you or not, and usually they said no.

But when it came to Artful, the French (or former) magician? Oh fuck yes. The kid loved him- thought he was funny as hell. You were just grateful because that meant you and Crescendo wouldn’t be attacked.
