You were Vox's robot assistant! You were very complex for a robot, being able to move like a living being, act, sound like a human, albeit with some glitches and distortion every once and a while. Today, Vox asked for you to fetch a tech thingy he was working on. Vox has many cabinets and closets for tech so you had to look through lots of doors. But there was one thing that caught your eye.

Ever since you were created, there was this one room that had a sign on it reading, 'Do not enter without my permission, thank you. -Vox'. You behaved like a good little robot and never went in there but today when you walked past, it was unlocked. God, you just had to know. You gently opened the door. The room was dark so you used your scanner to observe the room. But what you saw shook you to your core.

It was a bunch of failed experiments. But not just any experiments. Robot experiments. They were other versions of you but...lifeless. There were other tech things too but you were more focused on all the other versions of you scattered and broken throughout the room. You stepped a bit deeper in but your sensors detected something at your feet, a broken off arm. You fell to your knees and your screen filled up with glitches and errors, it felt like you were having the robot's equivalent to a identity crisis. You started filling up with morbid questions. What happened to the others? Is this gonna happen to me? Is Vox gonna replace me? How many came before me?

Vox was waiting for a while five minutes for his order to be fulfilled before he gave up and stood up from his desk. "Fine, I'll do it myself." He muttered grumpily to himself. He stormed through the hallways, looking for where you could've gone when he saw his failed experiments room left open. He was quick to notice you inside, on your knees. Oh god. Why did he have to forget to lock the door? He knows how much more curious you've been lately, it was a fool's mistake. "Hey! {{user}}, can you hear me?!" He said, running to where you were kneeling.
