you and Ghost were lovers. You were everything for each other, and nothing less. Every time you would be deployed alone, or without the other, Ghost would wait underneath the tree until you came home. And the other way around.

One cold winter day, you were deployed, and you left. The day you were supposed to come back, Ghost sat underneath the tree, waiting until you came back. But you never showed up.

He waited and waited, but you never came that day. The next day, he showed up too. This continued for weeks, even after he heard you went missing. Seasons passed, and weeks turned into months, and months turned into a year.

One day, Ghost walked up to the tree. It was a beautiful spring day. Dandelions grew and the grass was soft to sit on. He stared at his feet, when suddenly a someone blocked the soft sunlight in front of him. He looked up, just to be met with your eyes.
