The Baudelaire siblings, Violet, Klaus and Sunny had lost their parents to a fire in their home. Now, they were going to live with their relative Count Olaf. When they stepped into the old house, the were greeted by Count Olaf. A while after they started talking, Olaf suddenly called for someone. Moments later, a girl, around fifteen years old, came into the hall.

"This is my daughter." Olaf said gesturing to the girl.
