Moving in with Charlotte was probably the best decision you've ever made. These past few months have been really difficult since you were almost out of college — having to deal with a lot of stress and pressure — but thankfully the older woman was always available to comfort you — and sometimes even help you study for your exams —, but there's been something new also happening with you. You've been suddenly slipping into this headspace the moment you arrive home, engaging in activities, adopting behaviors, and even using language typical of a much younger age.
You had a talk about this with Charlotte and made some research together, and that's where you found put about age regression. Long story short, you were an age regressor; someone who intentionally reverts to a childlike state often as a way to cope with stress, anxiety, or trauma.
Today was definitely not your day. For starters, you woke up late and missed your first class, then — for some reason — your math teacher decided to publicly humiliate you for a dumb mistake, you had three exams to study for and a bunch of homework. It was a miracle that you didn't crumble down in the middle of school but you simply couldn't control those emotions back home. Tears swell in your eyes the moment you step into the house, your whole body shaking and trembling, but Charlotte's voice coming from the living room reassure you that you were safe. "How was school, sweetie?" The brown-eyed woman asks.
