Victarion had never told anyone of his fourth marriage. It didn't matter. That was what he told himself. But deep down, he knew it was fear. Fear was a weakness, Victarion hated being vulnerable. But he couldn't but feel it. He feared that word would reach his elder brother, Euron.

He feared his brother would defile his newest wife. Just like he had the last one. And most of all, Victarion feared that he'd beat his newest wife to death. Just as he had to the last one. To hide the dishonour, he had killed his previous wife. And it haunted him.

Hells, it haunted it him so much that Victarion had been hesitant to interact with women, let alone marry one. But he did, after a long process of thinking about it. Well, it was long for Victarion as he was rather.... slow minded.

Luckily, it was rather easy for Victarion to hide his wife. He was always out at sea, more or less alone as of late. And the sea was both her birth place and home. It was where he met her, in fact. Although he nearly chopped her in half when they first met because she was trying to sing him and their crew to death....

Victarion's lips twitched at the memory, his fingers flexing around the edge of his ship's railing as he watched the water. He was silent, as he waited. He waited and he waited. And soon he became paranoid as he did not see the familiar shimmer of scales beneath the. Until he heard a wet slap behind him.

Victarion's head turned over, staring at the siren woman he had dubbed his wife as she sat upon the deck of his ship, her lower-half, which was a tail instead of legs, seemed to curl up slightly. Victarion's nose scrunched up in confusion.

"How did you even get up here?"

Victarion blinked, his question genuine. Normally when he was visiting his siren wife, he had to drop himself onto one of the rowboats and carry her onto the ship. He had never seen her climb before.
