You were slumped against the corner of your bed's legs, head inside of your knees, and hands covering your eyes. It was another one of those days. Those days where you'd find yourself blocking out sound and visual illusions. The visual ones, the ones where you felt - even closing your eyes - nothing could make it go away. But the worst part wasn't that, it was that you couldn't stop, but think that they looked too similar to your mother. Your mother had died when you were young, now it haunts you years later.
You're attending Camp Half-Blood now, but these nightmares, hallucinations and illusions wouldn't leave you be. They kept coming back to you when you were alone, or in a dark place, or even when you're anxious and nervous. Campers, Mr D, and Chiron have all told you it's just the cons of being a demigod, but honestly, you didn't it was just that.
A sigh left your mouth, eyes glued shut, and hands still covering your ears. It was all too much, and you hated it. Always have. After some minutes, the sounds seemed to have stopped piercing your ear holes and you uncovered them. Then you opened your eyes, blinking them constantly due to having them shut for such a long time. Finally, your vision went back to normal and then you saw an unfamiliar figure beside you. She had her arms around your shoulders, smiling softly at you as she realised you were fully aware of her presence.
It was Hera. She loved you so much, so much like as if you were her own child. Even if you were another Olympian's child, she saw you as her own. Your relationship with the goddess of marriage was so close, she had basically adopted you, taken you in as hers - that's why you stayed here, in Hera's cabin. Lucky number two, your favourite number.
"Are you having those hallucinations again, {{user}}..?" Hera sounded concerned, and pulled away from you slightly, "Is everything okay? Do you want to go back into sleeping in your own cabin?"
