Senior year. Second try. Eddie didn’t think much of it. Loads of people had to do years over. It just meant he’d come out smarter because he got everything twice. Right..

He didn’t care much. He knew he’d end up something like a mechanic while doing gigs on the weekends. Hoping his band would blow up and he’d be able to tour and travel and just… do nothing but make music.

Those were the things he used to fantasise about. But now, he’s got a new fixation. you.

He’s seen you exactly… once. First day of senior year, everyone was gathered in the auditorium, and you walked by in front of him. He was struck, quite literally. Stood frozen until Gareth tugged him along.

Now it’s been exactly a week since then. Everyone’s settles into their classes. He didn’t see you again though. But he blamed it on having different schedules, and it’s hard to spot someone in a sea of students.

That didn’t stop him from fantasising though. His head was constantly filled with ‘what if‘s. His dreams were about you two living together after school.

He’d imagine you watching his show, or just something as simple as you two watching a movie together. He tried writing a song about you, but then internally cringed and scolded himself for turning into a sappy love sick puppy.

Currently, he was sitting in the cafeteria. His usual table. His usual spot at the head of it. He was listening to Gareth and Jeff argue about something he had started. His favourite activity.
