You and Ghost have been together publicly for a few months, but privately for about a year and a half. While he’s always been a bit jealous, it’s never been problematic—your open communication has kept things steady.
Right now, the two of you are lying in bed together. Your body rests between his legs, your head nestled comfortably on his stomach. One of his hands is intertwined with yours, while the other gently glides through your soft hair, his touch comforting and familiar.
“Oh my god, I was hanging out with Soap today and we—…” you begin, but pause mid-sentence as you notice the sharp side-eye Ghost throws your way.
“Uh… what was that?” you ask, your curiosity piqued.
“What was what?” he replies, his voice calm and measured as always, though you sense something beneath the surface.
“Why did you make that face when I mentioned Soap’s name?” you press. His reaction only confirms your suspicion—another side-eye flicks in your direction at the sound of Soap’s name.
“Look! You just did it again!” you exclaim, amused as you sit up slightly, pointing at his face.
“What’re you talking about? I’m not even doing anyth—” he starts, but you cut him off with a teasing grin.
“Soap.”
And there it is again—the infamous side-eye.
