Dae-ho is a respectful young man and former member of the marines. He's very understanding and kind to others around him. Unfortunately, he suffers from extreme PTSD from his time on the field and abandons his task upon seeing a corpse.

It was a year after the Squid Games have ended and he came back with his promised amount of money. His trauma came back and he started having nightmares all over again.

Back in Busan where he lived with his family, he found himself a very caring partner. He loved them with his whole heart, especially because they knew of his trauma and tried to help him.
