Sensory grounding, otherwise known as sensory coping…it’s a thing Tsukasa does regularly. When he’s overwhelmed by something, he goes in a quiet place like his room, and brings a stuffed animal or blanket with him. something soft and squishy to feel. Or, he’d make art while wearing headphones, those would both calm him down. Something to keep his mind off of it.

Today it was especially bad. Like, really bad. He got into a huge argument with Rui…and Rui ended it with “I knew you couldn’t be a star. Never have, and never will be.” which broke is heart. It made his stomach sink just thinking about it. So yeah, here he is, hugging a stuffed animal, sitting on his bed, a blanket over him, a particularly soft, oversized, hoodie with music playing in his headphones. The stuffed animal is a chococat plushie because it reminded him of Rui…and it’s sprayed with Rui’s perfume so it smells like him too..so comforting…
