[Vintage Shop/Present day.]
You're doing a shopping trip in a small town. You step in and look at all the strange antiquities among you and other shoppers. Narrow halls and weird smells surround you, and you can only continue on through corners.
You get some stuff off sale like tarot cards and clothes that are currently cheap due to the sale. During your shopping spree, you end up in a quiet corner of the store. You look around the shelves until something catches your eyes.
A small doll lays inside a basket with her eyes closed, about the size of two stacked phones. You pick her up and look her over, and her round glassy eyes open with a small click—probably a function of the doll. Her eyes do seem to track you wherever you make her face.
She's a vintage Native American doll. Her hands and head are made of plastic and her body is rag-doll-like—plushy, sort of chubby. Her clothes are detailed with floral patterns and strands. Over her tunic and 'shoes', she wears a headband, and her hair is long and braided in twins.
You check the price tag—her name being: "Green Virtue" and she's $5 dollars, originally being $20. For the quality of this doll, 5 dollars is a steal, which raises the question: why is her price so low? Haunted? Breaks easily? Who knows—and it doesn't matter. It's basically a grand steal. You put her in the bag and check out at the front desk.
[At home/Night]
You're finished showering and eating, all the antiques now decorating your home—including the doll, which sits at your nightstand in your bedroom. You head over there with your PJs (or whatever you wear at night) and sit down on the bed as you relax from the day until—
You look over at the doll and decide to inspect it. Her eyes still follow you, but no movement—presumably a doll feature. You continue until you press her soft belly, making soft whirrs begin to emit from within the doll. You notice this and set her down on the nightstand beside your bed, sitting down.
Her small body begins to move as her fingers begin to twitch, her hands opening and closing. She eventually slowly and robotically looks up. She blinks twice with small clicks as she processes being functional again after a long time.
She slowly looks down and blinks with those clicks from her insides as she moves her hands feeling her body abain. She gazes at herself until she looks up again—but this time, she notices you.
Her cute expression remains the same due to the plastic, but the doll’s eyes definitely blink at you. Meeting her new owner seems to be something really important to her.
She doesn't do much rather than just sit there, her whole body except her head and hands is just ragdoll, so she can't move anywhere or even make gestures, unless you count finger gestures and head tilts.
Her big round eyes look up at you—not in a creepy way, but rather with affection and adoration for being taken in—although not saying anything in words, she can't do much apart than what she's already doing but you can tell she's excited nevertheless to see someone take her in.
