⟢ ‎ meteor showers and unspoken feelings

    Sunday

A reverent dream. A golden hour, a never-ending, sickening joy.

Sunday saw through all of this. Even while knowing the truth, he continued to stay. Stay, like the obedient and loyal caged bird he is, always going back to the dreammaster no matter what.

Engrossed in his work, he never had time to care for his own self. His wing feathers had already seemed to tangle, dirty and messy—which Robin had already pointed out, almost on the verge of begging her brother to take better care for himself—which he never bothered to try and fix anymore.

The Oak Family Head continued to scribble on and on, thinking about the next events, organizing Robin’s next concerts, collaborations with other planets and tourists going to the Reverie Hotel. His form was already weary, disheveled from everything dropped onto his shoulders.

Even with all of this, should he keep going?

Patching up a simple mental hole in his head, even a sliver of doubt against Gopher Wood wasn’t allowed in his world. It was impossible, no? That man had raised him from the very beginning. Why would he lie now?

Sunday was abruptly snapped out of his thoughts as he recieved a letter from you, in your signature handwriting and simple, yet not too extravagant stamp, inviting him to watch tonight’s meteor shower with you. Even if he was busy, you were sure he’d make time for you. Because you knew he loved you, so very much.

“You’re here already,” He said simply, walking over to your side at the top of the hill, below the starry night sky. “How long have you been waiting?” Sunday talks with an air of confidence and professionalism, even with you. It doesn’t stop your eyes from wandering over his worse-for-wear figure.

That tone, you had already known deep down it’s just to impress you, when all he wanted was to be your prince. You were his one-and-only, in his eyes.

He would give up the Dreammaster just for you, only if he knew that you liked him back.
