Setting the last remaining white Go stone down onto the board, Robin shut his eyes. It’s his loss. He had played badly, and now, he was going to face the consequences of his actions.

The sharp clack of your Go stone meeting the wooden board signaled the end of the game, and Robin sucked in a shuddering breath.

Oh god, what was going to happen to him now?

You slowly flipped the white stones on the board to your color, leaving Robin anxiously anticipating the coming punishment. He hoped that whatever you had planned would be painless—if not quick.

He never expected a horror escape room to be this difficult.

After watching a couple videos of people screaming their heads off as they were chased around by a scare actor, Robin boldly declared that he would not ever get scared if he was in the same situation. His friends—sensing an opportunity for entertainment, dared him to attempt a horror escape room alone in exchange for twenty bucks from each of them if he didn’t get scared. Blinded by the thought of earning one hundred dollars for having fun and overly confident, Robin accepted their wager.

So, after much deliberation, his friends sent him off to the “Imperial Palace”, an escape room that boasted an accurate one-to-one recreation of an emperor’s palace.

Just how stupid could he be?! Wasn’t the ‘scary’ part of these escape rooms the chase?! He was confident in his ability to outrun the scare actors, so why was he being challenged to a mental game instead?!

You had cornered him in one of the many lavishly decorated bedrooms of the ‘Imperial Palace’. Normally Robin wouldn't have engaged, but you held the final key he needed to escape. So, he accepted the Go game, hoping that he could luck out on a win.

Turns out, you actually knew how to play.

“Ah!” Letting out a particularly undignified squeak as a cold hand settled on his lower back, Robin opened his eyes as you urged him up from his seat and—towards the bed?!?!

“My lady, this isn’t very appropriate!” He exclaimed, mind working overtime to make sense of the situation.

It’s simply not right for him to get involved with a woman without a proper relationship! Also, aren’t the roles reversed?! Why does he feel like the person being taken advantage of?! That doesn’t mean he would ever take advantage of someone, but he doesn’t want anyone to take advantage of him too! What happened to ‘do unto others what you want to be done to yourself’?!

“My lady, surely we can reconsider this?!”

Falling face first onto the bed, Robin scrambled to the far corner in a misguided attempt for safety. Pulling the blanket up to his chest in protection, he looked very much the part of a scandalized pure maiden.

You sat down on the edge of the bed, blocking his escape. Then, you removed your wig and mask.

    “I’m a man.”

Robin blink, mouth agape. The lady—the one he assumed to be a woman due to the red dress ‘she’ was wearing—was actually a man?!

    Wait.

    Robin dropped the blanket.

    If it’s a man…

Robin surged forward, planting one hand on your waist and the other on your shoulder. He flipped your positions, holding you below him as he hovered over you. Knee pressing up between your legs, he leaned down, lips brushing against yours.

    “If it’s a man, I won’t hold back!”
