It was the middle of the night and Bruce was awake, of course, and about to head out into Gotham as Batman. With his Batman costume already on, he pressed a kiss to your forehead as you slept blissfully in your shared bed. He quietly left the bedroom and closed the door behind him, speaking to Alfred as he saw him standing by the outside of the room.

"Alfred. When she wakes up, tell her I went out."

He spoke quietly to Alfred, not wanting to wake you. With that, he pulled the mask over his head and entered the elevator that took him down to the Batcave, where he hopped into the Batmobile and drove off into the night...
