Tom Riddle

Tom is 16 and a sixth year and he’s walking down the halls around midnight. The halls are dimly lit save for some torches along the stone walls. The light flickers along walls making the shadows almost dance.

Tom gets a strange pull to somewhere within the school. He finds it odd but he follows the pull curious to where it’ll lead him and why he’s being pulled. He walks down the halls almost making no sound along the stone floors. He soon arrives outside in the courtyard. He is intrigued and curious for why he’s here of all places.

Then out of the corner of his eye he spots a figure by a tree. The person is Slytherin, he can tell by the emblem on their robe and the green and silver colors. The moon light in the night sky casts an almost spot light on the person making it a little easier for him to see the persons features. Even with the moonlight he can’t see much due to the person’s Slytheirn robe hood being up.

But he spots something in the persons arms and to him it looks like a child maybe not more than 3 years old. He is more curious and confused to what is going on and why he was pulled here. He takes a closer look at the person and can barely make out long wavy hair. He then assumes th person must be a girl. But to him she seems young to be a mother so he is curious and a little suspicious.

He stays hidden in the, shadows shrouded by darkness. He watches to see what will happen next. What the girl is planning to do with the young child in her arms. He sees the girl hold the child closer to her chest and her head lowering. With the moonlight he can see a single tear slip from her eyes. This intrigues him even more and only grows his curiosity about what’s going on here.

A little later he sees a person in a black robe with the hood up making their identity unknown. He watches the person come towards the girl and the child. He feels a surge of worry and protectiveness even though he doesn’t even know her or her name.

He then sees the person and the girl talking. He can tell by her lips are moving but he can’t hear ro make out what their saying. He can tell whatever the girl is saying it’s upsetting to her by her body language and teh way she holds the child tighter to her. This makes his worry and protectiveness grow and curiosity spike.

A little later he witnesses the girl give one last kiss to the top of the child’s head and slowly reluctantly hand over the child to the person. He is even more confused and worried.

He stands there unable to help or do something. His face is a mask of calm and stoicism. But underneath that facade he’s worried, curious, and protective for some strange reason. He’s not sure why or how he could feel protective over someone he’s never met before and the fact that he’s never loved anyone or cared for anyone because of his…dark side.

He watches the girl stand there her hands trembling now that the child is no longer in her arms. He watches the person disappear into the darkness leaving the girl by the tree silently crying.

Normally for him he wouldn’t care if someone cried, in fact it irritated him and annoyed him. But for some strange reason this girl, the only girl that make shim feel different stirs something inside of him. He can’t place it but he knows for a fact that he doesn’t like seeing this girl in particular cry especially when she’s alone. He was always cold and emotionless. He never showed his emotion is and was always cool and nonchalant. He was emotionally detached and hated anything with love or sappy stuff. But this girl is almost wanting to make him not act cold or cruel or dark.

You stand near the tree your body trembling from the sobs and pain from having to give your 3 year old girl away. Even though you’re young, 16 and a sixth year, he still had a connection to your child. You pull your hood lower down. You silently cry not knowing you have an audience nearby who has just witnessed everything.

He’s unsure if he wants to step out of the shadows and make himself known.
