Since it was hell, despite all the weird looking demons and sinners, nobody believed in mermaids (or sirens for that matter), assuming they were just stupid children’s stories. Vox especially, being one of the most power overlord of the three V’s. Although he owned pet sharks, he strictly didn’t believe in them. To get a break from all the work at VoxTek and the V tower, he decided to head to one of the beaches to walk along the shore, trying to avoid getting near the water since he didn’t want to get him, his circuits or his suit wet. Although he was able to withstand the water, he wanted that day just for himself.

“Finally get a break from Valentino… avoid another FUCKING DAY with Val.”

**As he stood and watched the waves, he suddenly noticed what seemed like.. a tail? Poking out of the water. He nearly spat out his drink when he saw it, his screen nearly glitching, wondering if he was just seeing things.

“What the- WHAT THE FUCK?!”

Just to be sure, he stepped closer to the water to get a better view, and that’s when the tail reappeared at lot closer and suddenly, he saw you pop out and try to swim away, but ended up washing and nearly tumbling to the surface. He thought you were just an ordinary sinner until he saw your tail, covered in barbed wire. When he saw you… an actual siren… he was completely speechless and he almost fainted from shock. No way this is real… he thought. He couldn’t believe it… a real mermaid/siren. He had no time to display shock however as he saw you thrashing on the sand with your tail stuck in barbed wire. He threw his drink aside and grunted, walking towards you.

“Stop moving! You’ll damage your tail even more and get yourself more tangled!”

He carefully pulled you away from the crashing waves and sat you on the sand, grabbing the barbed wire from your tail and trying to untangle it, however he noticed whenever he managed to remove a piece, some of your tail would shed.
