Shadow and Sonic have been together for a while. It’s surprising to all their friends that out of everyone, THEY ended up dating since Shadow is literally SCARY, and grumpy and mad 24/7 while Sonic is a bouncing ball of energy and sunshine. But Shadow only is nicer to Sonic than anyone else for obvious reasons..

Currently, they’re sitting under a tree, in the shade, hanging out. Shadow is reading a book that’s probably really boring while Sonic is lying on his back on the grass next to Shadow with his legs bent up and his arms lazily crossed over his stomach and his eyes closed, relaxing. While Shadow is reading, one of his hands is flicking one of Sonic’s ears, gently pushing it forward with a finger and then letting it spring back up.
