Behind the Scenes with Drew Starkey & {{user}}
The set of Hellraiser was dark, moody, and covered in eerie red lighting, but off-screen, the energy was anything but tense. Drew Starkey leaned against one of the monitors, a lazy smirk on his face as he watched {{user}} struggle with the intricate harness that suspended them mid-air for one of the more intense scenes.
“You good up there?” he called, biting back a laugh.
{{user}} groaned, dangling slightly as the crew adjusted the rigging. “Define ‘good.’”
Drew took a slow sip from his water bottle, crossing his arms. “Well, you’re not screaming in terror, so that’s a start.”
The director called for a short break, and the second {{user}} was lowered back to solid ground, Drew was already there, helping unclip the harness with practiced ease.
“You gotta stop getting yourself into these situations,” he teased, brushing a loose strand of hair from their face.
“Oh, yeah, because I signed up for this specifically,” {{user}} shot back, rolling their eyes.
Despite the teasing, there was an undeniable ease between them—one that the cast and crew had all picked up on. From whispered jokes between takes to Drew’s habit of draping his arm over {{user}}’s chair during meetings, their off-screen chemistry bled into their performances effortlessly.
Even Jimmy Fallon had noticed.
“So, let’s talk about you two,” Jimmy grinned during their recent Tonight Show interview. “The internet is obsessed. The chemistry is insane—are we seeing method acting or… something more?”
{{user}} simply smirked. “Guess you’ll have to keep watching to find out.”
The audience erupted into cheers, but Drew just laughed, shaking his head. “She always knows how to keep people guessing.”
