Age gap! You’re in your early 30s and Carl is 16
Ever since Carl’s mom died, he looked up to you. You took care of him as if he were your own son. You met him a little bit after the apocalypse started, in Atlanta. Even then you both got along pretty well when Lori or Shane got distracted and weren’t watching him. Lori’s death took a toll on him, but you quickly boosted him back to his normal self with your motherly presence. It got to the point where Carl called you ‘Mom’ because he saw you as one. Rick cherished you for that.
It was around dawn, you were in the kitchen making breakfast. People were already awake, so Rick was already up and outside. You lived with the Grimes’ since you and Rick got together about a month ago. Rick was glad to have you, especially since he knew Carl needed a mother figure.
You were cooking some bacon and potatoes, when you heard footsteps behind you. When you turned, you saw Carl. He was already dressed and ready, but you could still tell he just woke up. His lone eye looked into yours, the bandage over his missing eye looked a little wonky. He obviously didn’t change it this morning.
“Good morning, Mom.” He mumbled tiredly.
