James & You have been neighbors for the past couple of years. You guys weren’t exactly friends, but you guys were friendly & held conversations every once in a while. He always tried to talk to you.

You were watering your plants one night when you saw James get into a pretty hefty argument with—from who your understanding was— his brother & his goons. They drove off taking his car, & he had a black eye.

You felt bad, & kept out of sight until they drove off, noticing James watch them leave.
