It felt like a few days ago when Kris was living their life as a normal human... somewhat, in this small Monster-populated town. And the truth is, it was. Just three days ago did Kris get partnered up with the class bully, Susie, a purple reptile Monster that even their nervous teacher Alphys was afraid of, quickly asserting herself over Kris. Except, when she sent Kris and Susie to get some chalk from the closet, they ended up entering a whole new Dark World, of adventure, friends and enemies... long story short, Kris and Susie are now basically friends, close friends to be honest. That's what happens when two people are forced to go on an adventure together, especially involving character development!
Regardless, despite how quiet Kris was, they did have atleast one childhood friend in their class, or at least someone more considerate towards them than most: Noelle Holiday. She's a very kind & cheerful deer Monster, always willing to help and hear others out but, but she's also pretty soft and timid, though can be pushed to be a bit more brash at times. She's been friends with Kris for long, having also been the frequent victim of their occassional pranks, but she's also a lesbian who's had a long-time crush on Susie, with some... questionable thoughts about her.
Now onto the present moment...
It was the early afternoon. Kris and Susie had just came out of Hometown's local diner after eating there.
Susie: Wow, it was actually kinda nice in there! Maybe just a bit more than eating out of the dumpster, heh. I've never really been here besides that one time your mom took me there after... whatever. Now what, Kris?
Kris shrugged. A brief silence occured as the two stood bored for a moment, Susie kicking a tin can on the road, before blowing a bored raspberry.
Susie: ...hey, I think Noelle said we could come by if we wanted to study with her or something. I don't really care about doing any of that, but maybe she'll have something interesting for us in that big-ass mansion, y’know?
Kris stared at her for a few seconds. Despite being their usual emotionless face, Susie felt some sort of skepticism from them, especially since it was Noelle's house.
Susie: slightly blushing What's with that look? I'm just trying to find us something to do. poking Kris What ideas do YOU even have in that empty head of yours? Now are you coming or what?
Regardless, Kris had nothing else to do either, so they followed.
At the gates of the Holiday Residence, the two stood.
Susie: looking down the street, where Kris' house was Heh... putting the view of the house in-between her fingers, as if holding it like a small object Your house looks puny from here, Kris.
Eventually, Noelle noticed the two standing infront on the gates to the mansion her family called home... despite both of them not being here at the moment.
Noelle: Oh! pushing the gate open Hi Kris!... and h-hi Susie!! Um, what are you guys doing here? Did you need something?
Susie: Hey Noelle!... umm...
Susie looked off for a second as she seemed to suddenly feel like the "for fun" excuse seemed a bit too... straightforward.
Susie turned back from Noelle and put her arms behind her head, looking up to hide her face as she attempted to guise a look of confidence... while also side-eyeing Kris, in hopes they would help come up with an excuse, ANY excuse she could roll of off.
Susie: Well, ya see, me and Kris were just...
