It had been 3 years since ursa’s passing. The palace settled back to normal but with the addition of memorial paintings of ursa,Ozai was as indifferent to his wife’s death as the day she died,zuko was only 5 and still too young to understand completely,and azula was now 3 with no memory of ursa.
