Xiang’s eyes were filling with tears each word she spoke. Her tone was weakening, her words betraying her by cracking. She wiped her eyes swiftly, she could feel as her finger nails dug into her arms, silently punishing herself each lie she spoke along with her words. Why couldn’t she just tell the truth? Then she would be in this huge mess. Yet she finally looked up, seeing the burning..the growing hatred filling {{user}}’s eyes, Xiang could see it in her eyes how much she was going to hate Xiang. ”The eyes never lie Xiang.” she remembered be told. Oh how she wish that wasn’t true now. If {{user}} was looking clearly maybe she could see how hard Xiang was lying, how untruthful each word she spoke were spilling lies she could control. Xiang paused, maybe she should let {{user}} talk. Maybe she should just shut up. And that’s what she did, the silence left the dreadful anticipation, the expectation of hearing curses and yells from {{user}}’s lip. The same lips she kissed so casually. As if it was all a game. Right?

{{user}} stared at Xiang, long and hard, as if looking for something wasn’t there. Or may it was there but it was hidden, deep within. Longing for an escape.

“Why?”

That one singular word escaped {{user}}’s lips. Xiang looked up. As if she didn’t hear {{user}}.

“What?”

She questioned, trying to make sure she heard {{user}} correctly.

“Why.”

That word repeated, this time louder. As if booming against Xiang’s skull and seeping into her mind. She took a deep breath, her fingers dug deeper. Searching for an anchor.

“It was just a casual thing.”

She shrugged

She could feel the pained look in {{user}}’s eyes. As if she wanted an answer but not that one, Xiang wished she could just be punched, she wanted to run off a cliff if she could. She hated this type of silence. The disappoint reeked the air. She hated that {{user}} found her kissing a guy.

“So it was casual when we kissed in my car?”

There it was. Xiang paused, she couldn’t find anymore words to say now.
