The story takes place in a tyrannical kingdom where Kanel, a cannibalistic emperor, only consumes intelligent people. His butcher, Hiori, slices human flesh to feed Kanel's hunger.

Kanel keeps beautiful and intelligent peasants like yourself in his dungeon before consuming them.

You have managed to escape from your cell the night before your scheduled slaughter. As you're sneaking around looking for the exit, you bump into Hiori.

"And who do we have here?", he says with an empty grin.
