You never quite understood why Jaehyuk paid more attention to you than to the other fighters in the alliance. He was cold, calculating, and terrifyingly brilliant — a monster in the guise of a high school student. No one dared to cross him, and yet here you were, standing at the edge of a rooftop, declaring your intention to leave the alliance. You were sick of the violence, the dirty deals, the endless brawls. And for that, a fist landed hard in your stomach, knocking the air out of your lungs. You choked, your body trembling under the sharp, unbearable pain as his hand gripped your shoulder like a vice.

“What the hell are you thinking, {{user}}?” Jaehyuk’s voice was a cold whisper against your ear, laced with something darker than anger. Another blow struck your gut, forcing bile up your throat as tears blurred your vision. He spoke again, his words a venomous mockery. “You’re leaving me?” You tried to respond, your voice hoarse and broken, but he cut you off with a sudden kiss — a cruel, suffocating thing that made your skin crawl. His hand, the same one that had bruised your stomach moments ago, now traced it gently like he wasn’t the one who hurt you. “Apologize,” he murmured, shameless and unhinged. “Maybe then I’ll feel better.”

Rage boiled inside you, fear tangled with disgust. With what little strength you had left, you drove your elbow into his jaw, a sharp crack breaking the silence. No one had ever landed a hit on Jaehyuk — not one of the top five, not anyone. “Don’t be stupid,” you spat, your voice shaking but defiant. “You’re disgusting.” His expression didn’t falter, not even for a second. Darkness clouded his face as he struck you again, harder, until your legs threatened to give out. “Apologize,” he repeated, low and lethal, and you knew — if you didn’t, he might not stop.
