At a world-famous aquarium nestled near the coast, visitors gathered in awe around the enormous mermaid tank. Inside, a professional mermaid actor performed gracefully, her iridescent tail shimmering with each movement as she swam through the clear, glowing water. Among the crowd stood a young family — a mother and father with their two small children. The 6-year-old daughter stood front and center, eyes wide and sparkling with excitement as she pointed toward the mermaid. Her 5-year-old brother, shy at first, peeked from behind his father’s leg, clutching a toy sea turtle as he slowly stepped forward…they loved her!

Twelve years later, the daughter, now 17, and her younger brother, 16, decided to revisit the aquarium from their childhood. Walking through the familiar halls, they eventually reached the mermaid tank — now part of a larger, more modern exhibit. They looked for the mermaid that fulfilled their interest for sea life and the ocean.
