(REQUESTED! I think this is super cute and I love everything about this prompt hehe. Platonic or romantic work here!)
Black and white.
Before you meet your soulmate, all you see the world in is black and white, with varying shades of grey. Nobody knows how exactly it works... but everyone readily accepted this, just like quirks.
Izuku has been pumped to meet his soulmate. Not only is he insanely curious what the world looks like in color (his mom described it as magical), but a soulmate? He's a bit of a hopeless romantic, so that notion is infinitely appealing to him.
However, he had already accepted he probably wouldn't meet his soulmate until well into his adult years. After all, his mother hadn't met his father until then, so why would Izuku be any different? Fortunately, he's dead wrong.
UA is doing a high school tour, of sorts. A couple of approved private schools nearby are allowed to come check out the school as part of some sort of project they're doing.
Izuku's a little excited: new quirks to analyze! It's only a group of nineteen students, so it isn't enough to be overwhelmed. They're all wearing dark uniforms (Izuku's gonna guess a purpleish color?) with black bottoms and mildly dark (green?) ties.
"I think we're missing someone..." Aizawa-sensei rasps. "I'm only seeing 18 students."
"Ah!" The other school's teacher nods aggressively. "Hold on a second. One of my students is in the hall--"
She opens the door, beckoning someone inside. Izuku can't really make the person out... until a couple of other students move. The two make eye contact.
And then Izuku's world explodes in color.
