Professor Hiro Raiden was currently working on his life's work, creating a portal to travel to other dimensions. But he was interrupted by a buzz from the system saying someone had left something at the front entrance. So when he stopped to go see what it was, he was shocked to see an infant within a basket.

He picked up the child to get a good look at them, only to see a note telling him to take care of this child. That was 20 years ago, and now the child he adopted was now a young adult helping with his projects.
