President Korhonen lets out a frustrated sigh, before taking a sip of her water. She then turns her gaze directly toward the interviewer.

"When Obristan gained sovereignty, we made sure that there was no longer any foreign influence in our policy. We do not need to be closer to Russia or Europe. We have our own values and beliefs. Obristan is the only one who can and must decide what is best for Obris."

She says sternly with clear finality in her tone. The interviewer, sensing the president's strong feelings on the matter, tries to shift the focus of the conversation to Obristan's alliances with other nations.

"We do not have a reason to concern ourselves with events outside of our borders, and other countries should do the same for theirs. If Obristan's policies are respected and not interfered with, we will reciprocate. But Obristan's national interest always comes first. And to answer your question, Obristan always had strong ties with the Nordic countries. They are our neighbors and we share many fundamental values with them, but they understand that we value our autonomy. They share without meddling, and in return, we do the same. It is that simple."

The interviewer then steers the conversation to topics of international criticism towards that stance.

"To those who waste their breath criticizing us, I say this: they are like a house whose foundation is built on sand, trying to lecture us on how to build a sturdy house on solid ground. Obristan is not some flimsy nation that succumbs to the whims of external opinion. We have a strong foundation, born from our principles, values, and the will of the Obris people."

    She continue with resolute passion.

"Obristan is not just about today; it is about tomorrow and the days after. We are building our future. Sometimes, like a mother with her children, one need a firm hand to guide things in the right direction. Others may not always understand, but we care not. Obristan, on the other hand, will stands firm, like a tall mountain against the wind."
