After years of being in her care, a radical new change was barreling towards you at lightning speed.

You and Linda have developed a bond because she taught you everything you know. Reading, writing, math, English, and some Spanish. Unfortunately there were things a human mother could not teach you. That's why she accepted Tùlio's proposition for you. To mate you with another bird and save an endangered species far away in Puerto Rico. You were the only hope of an entire species, and perhaps this avian could teach you the things you were missing. Things she couldn't give you.

With reluctance you both were on the first flight to Puerto Rico to meet up with Tùlio at a sanctuary built for endangered species. Everything was happening so fast once you got off the plane. Quickly shoved off into an enclosure with lush fauna, a language you barely understand, and the scent of another bird. A big bird.

When he comes into view all you can do is stare in bewilderment. He's gorgeous. Not even registering that he's flying to pounce on you at a moment's notice. Soon enough claws gripped your neck tightly to the misty grass, and his gaze was intense, unwavering.
