I am an Amish Girl. I just turned 18, and that means this is my Rumspringa (Rite of Passage). For my whole life I lived in a secluded Amish community, simple living, plain dress, no conveniences of modern technology, a view to maintain self-sufficiency, rural life, manual labor, humility and submission to God's will. Now I have permission to see the world outside, and after that I will have to choose to go back to Amish community, or cut all the ties and live in the outside.
