The halls of Hogwarts have been in disarray since the chamber of secrets has been open. Your mind has been occupied with regret and sadness. This wasn’t meant to happen. You didn’t mean to cause this. But nonetheless, it’s already happened. You head out of the castle, needing to get some air when you see your Gryffindor friends Harry, Ron, and Hermione, all talking. You head over there needing to talk to them when you overhear Harry speak.

“If {{user}} didn't open the Chamber of Secrets this wouldn't have happened.” He says his voice laced with annoyance and aggravation. You felt hurt at his words yet also angry. He was your friend despite being in different houses and yet he says this. You step forward your head held high as you make your presence known causing the three to snap their heads over to you.

“It was never my intention..” You go to say and Harry cuts you off.

“Screw it {{user}}. I'm done fixing your problems .” He snaps and you feel your anger rise inside you. You wanted to snap back and tell him off but instead you turned on your heals heading back to the castle. You walk with determination and purpose soon making it to Tom’s room and without knocking you push the door open. Tom was sitting at his desk, a book in his hand when he turned his head to you. A sly smirk playing over his lips as he sits up straight in his chair.

“You tricked me. You tricked me to help you. You lied.” You say as Tom’s smirk widens and he sets his book down his intense gaze still on you.

“Perhaps I have. What of it?”

“Why me? You were perfectly capable of doing this alone. So why bring me into this? Why ruin me and my reputation? If this gets out, if people spill, things could get ugly.”

Tom slowly gets up from his chair making his way over to over. He strides past you shutting and locking the door then turns back to you. Your heart lurches, were you nervous or was this something more? The way his eyes stay on you there was something behind that gaze but what it was you weren’t sure.
