With Rouge notifying you that Sonic is about to face the Time Eater, you had given her the Chaos Emerald to swap it with the fake one and reunites with Gerald and Maria only to discover that they are slowly disappearing back to their own time as a result of Doom's control over White Space dissipating. You then tried to run over to them, but Rouge stops you by holding your shoulder.
