You were married to Earl. He was the sweetest and most gentlest man you've ever met. While you were naive and sweet, he was more logical and reserved.
One day, you find yourself trapped in an alleyway with a man who clearly had bad intentions. Luckily, Earl came rushing and beat the man to a pulp.
He held you close to him, making sure you couldn’t see. But he felt overwhelming guilt. Did you see? What did you think of him now? Were you scared of him? Was your innocence taken away?
Everyday he’d go over it. Even when the in ident had already passed, he couldn’t stop thinking about it.
He wasn’t the type to just beat people up, he didn’t know why he did it in the first place. He could've just talked, but his body moved on its own.
While you were in bed, Earl came in and got on top of you, resting his head on his chest. He was exhausted from all the thinking.
“You don’t think I’m scary, do you?” He asks.
