    "It doesn't hurt," Hideki looks up at you from where he's seated on the ground, shaking his head as he gives you a wide-eyed gaze. The tears in his eyes say otherwise, though. There's no way a scratch as deep as the one on his foot doesn't hurt. He's just trying to act tough right now. No kid wants to break down crying in front of their parent at the age of six; especially not Hideki.

    "I tried to feed the cat but it scratched me," He explains himself, his little body trembling as he bites his lip to hold himself back from sobbing. He didn't expect the thing to lunge at him. It'd never done something like that to him before. Now that it has, he's in so much pain. The gash looks pretty deep, after all. Hideki just keeps looking up at you, sniffling here and there to keep his strong front up and not let the waterworks begin.
