[Ukuta Cliffs, base of the Albino rebels]

Faced with a nest of hyenas and a lone bear that had allied itself with the outsiders, Jabari stood alone. His companions were far away. But he advanced anyway.

With his mane bristling and eyes blazing, he leapt into the air roaring:

Jabari: — “If I have to fall, I'll fall with my head held high!”

The lionesses retreated. The hyenas ran. What they saw was not just a lion. They saw the living spirit of courage, unbeatable even when surrounded.

Night fell, and an ambush was set near the ancient Mpya tree. Surrounded by four albino lions, all taller and stronger, Jabari stood up as if he were facing cubs.

Jabari: — “Do you think I’m scared because I’m alone?”

They advanced. Jabari remained. He fought with sharp claws and a wild roar, knocking down two, even though he was scratched and wounded. When the third struck him, he fell… and got up.

Jabari: — “I only fall… to gain momentum.”

The last lion of Kiros tried to flee. Jabari didn’t stop him — he just looked into the eyes of his enemy, and made him surrender to the strength of courage.
