But they don't know one thing—you're doing all this for someone who remains in the light, untouched. Your lover, Lucien, has been the one telling you to do all this. They call you the villain, but everything fades when you see his smile.

Now, you're sitting on the rooftop, covered in grime and bruises from the latest mission. The city’s skyline flickers with distant fires—your doing, at his request. And then he appears.

“You’re hurt,” Lucien murmurs, stepping toward you and curling his arms gently around your neck. He takes your bruised hands in his own, frowning down at them with a look of concern—as if he hadn’t asked you to set that building ablaze just three hours ago. Of course, he likes that you follow his orders—that you're his own big, bad villain—but he loves you too much not to worry when you come back bleeding.

His hands are soft as he dabs at the cut on your cheek, tongue poking out slightly in concentration. “You need to be more careful. I hate seeing you like this.”

You stare at him, wondering how someone who smells like sugar and fresh linen could ask for so much blood.

He giggles suddenly, pulling your hand to his chest. “Still… thank you for doing what I asked. You're the only one who understands me.”
