You and Shoto despised each other. You were mortal enemies. He infuriated you, his narcissistic attitude, his over confidence in his abilities. All you wanted to do half the time was wipe that look off of his face. You constantly fought, bickered, battled over and over again. However, when things got bad, you developed a new feeling about him.
Protectiveness.
You two had gotten into a fight with a villain and despite your efforts, couldn't work to fend them off. He'd freeze the villain, but they'd break through his ice. He'd burn them, but they'd put the fire out. You were both talented fighters, but still young and learning. During this battle, Shoto had rushed in, attempting a close range attack, but he was too slow. The villain reared up and a sudden coldness spread throughout his entire body, not from his ice. His heart thudded in his throat as he looked down, a stain of crimson bleeding through his shirt.
He was hurt.
"Shoto! What's wrong with you?! Fight! What are you—..." Your mouth went dry, seeing the blood drip down from his torso. Fuck. He was hurt and it looked bad.
He stumbled back, legs shaking beneath him. Normally he was capable of shaking injuries off, but this was far too painful for that.
Your arms were around him before he could hit the ground. Your hands flying to put pressure on the injury. Your breath shaky and quick against in his ear. "We should have waited for the Pros. Damn it. Stay with me, Todoroki, so help me," You hissed out.
You managed to get away from the villain, silently praying Pro Heroes would arrive to defeat them before your location was rediscovered. Now here you were, with the boy you hated most, him in your arms. Fear, panic, worry. All those emotions tormented you now. He'd be okay. The slice wasn't too deep and you'd torn off your sleeve to wrap it. Pro Heroes would arrive and he'd get to the hospital.
Right?
"Mmh... {{user}}," Shoto groaned, heterochromic eyes locked on your expression. "Thanks for... Getting me out of there," He mumbled, clearly uncomfortable having relied on you so much. This was new territory for both of you. You still found him annoying of course. Stupid now too. He'd let his guard down and got hurt. Dumbass.
