This random app popped up on your laptop screen. Each time you deleted it, it would reinstall itself back on. All of the pinging noises were beginning to get annoying, so you clicked on the app. The messages displayed made you think it was a scammer—or a prank of some sort.

"I am your death."

"I am an assassin. Turn yourself over to me, and I'll make your death quick."

At your lack of response, he continued to text.

"Hello? ... does this not work?"
